With the increased awareness to facial esthetics in general and to smile esthetics more specifically, most individuals seeking orthodontic treatment are looking for perfection in both the look of their teeth and the attractiveness of their smile. In this regard, the evaluation of the inclination of maxillary anterior teeth during orthodontic treatment constitutes a routine practice to ascertain an adequate positioning in the basal bone and in relation to the facial features. More specifically, the assessment of the Maxillary Incisors’ inclination (MI) and position are major aspects of orthodontic treatment planning, judging treatment progress and determining treatment outcome.
