Objective: The study was conducted to observe the histomorphological effects of conventional and advanced mobile phone radiation on the development of chick embryo kidney. Study Design: Randomized Controlled Trial Duration of the study conducted at Army Medical College, NUST, Rawalpindi, 3 months from May 2012 to July 2012. Materials and Methods: Fifty fertilized eggs of Fayoumi breed were selected and divided into five groups. Group I was the control. Two groups II and IV were exposed to conventional mobile phone radiation and two groups III and V were exposed to advanced mobile phone radiation for 15 and 30 minutes respectively. Results: A statistically significant change in tubular diameters was observed after advanced cell radiation while conventional cell radiation significantly decreased epithelial height. Conclusion: The changes induced by electromagnetic radiation from advanced mobile phones further affected the tubular diameters by decreasing them while conventional radiation decreased the epithelial height of proximal tubular cells.
