Globally, it is estimated that one-third of the population is infected with intestinal parasites and most of which are found in developing countries. Food handlers play a major role in ensuring food safety in processing, storage, and preparation chain. Parasitic diseases remain one of the most common types of human infection among food handlers throughout the world and are still causes of human sickness and mortality.
